La grande esposizione a tema che Artissima organizza all’Oval celebra le grandi collezioni di Torino e del suo territorio unendo, per la prima volta nel 2016, opere provenienti dai maggiori musei e fondazioni a importanti lavori di provenienza privata. In Mostra racconta il Piemonte come eccellenza del collezionismo internazionale attraverso un’iniziativa espositiva coerente e univoca. Curato quest’anno da Simone Menegoi con il titolo “corpo.gesto.postura”, il progetto è incentrato sulla figura umana e sull’esplorazione del corpo nell’arte. La selezione include sculture e video, dipinti e fotografie, performance e disegni, partendo dal XIX secolo per concentrarsi sulla contemporaneità. Alcune opere sollecitano il dialogo fra statue e corpi viventi, altre mettono in relazione la rappresentazione artistica del corpo e la sua evocazione.

In occasione di un’inaugurazione, Giulio Delvè ha raccolto le impronte dei palmi delle mani delle persone presenti. In seguito l’artista ha assemblato le impronte sotto forma di calchi in gesso, creando una sorta di schedario organico e proliferante.

Artissima organises a large-scale thematic exhibition at the Oval pavilion that celebrates the great public collections of Torino and its region. For the first time in 2016, the show combines both art works from major museums and foundations and loans from important private collections. The result is a unique exhibition titled In Mostra, in which Piemonte’s commitment to collecting at the highest international level is displayed. Curated this year by Simone Menegoi, the project, entitled ‘corpo.gesto.postura’ (‘body.gesture.posture.’), focuses on the human figure and the exploration of the body in art. The selection includes sculptures and videos, paintings and photographs, performances and drawings from the nineteenth century to the present. Some works evoke a dialogue between statues and living bodies, while others relate the artistic representation and evocation of the body.

On the occasion of an opening, Delvè had collected the imprints of the palms of the people who were present. He then assembled the imprints in the form of plaster casts, creating a kind of organic and proliferating register.
