Forecast is a new environmental video installation by Natália Trejbalová, developed during a residency in the Susa Valley between 2025 and 2026 in dialogue with glaciologist Biagio Di Mauro (CNR). Inspired by the Alpine landscapes painted by Giuseppe Augusto Levis and by the climatic transformations affecting the region, the work explores landscape as a living organism, geological memory, and a space for projecting the future.
Through a combined use of digital and analogue imagery, field recordings, constructed environments, and climate simulations, Forecast builds an immersive narrative that intertwines scientific research with speculative imagination. The installation brings together video, sculptures, and reclaimed materials, inviting the audience to engage with the deep temporalities of the Earth and with new forms of ecological awareness.
